About Deadlock Vault

Why I made this site, where the numbers come from, and how to tell me when something's wrong.

Updated 25 October 2026

Hi. I made Deadlock Vault because I wanted one place that answers the questions I kept looking up mid-match. How much does that item cost? Does that ability scale with spirit? Why did I just lose that fight? (It can't help with the last one, sadly.)

I play a lot of Deadlock, and I enjoy building websites probably more than is healthy. Putting the two together seemed like a better use of my evenings than another ranked losing streak.

What you'll find here

Every hero, ability and item, with the exact numbers at every upgrade. The builds people really use. Guides written for someone in their first week, not their thousandth hour.

Where the numbers come from

Straight from the game. When Valve ships a patch, the site picks it up within minutes and updates itself, usually before I've finished reading the patch notes. Every page shows when it last changed, so you know you're not looking at last month's numbers.

No ads, no accounts, no nonsense

There's nothing to sign up for and nothing to buy, and no pop-up asking for your email the second you arrive. It's a hobby project, and I'd like to keep it that way.

Found a mistake?

It happens. Use the Report a problem box at the bottom of any page. It comes straight to me and I read every one. Leave a contact and I'll tell you when it's fixed.

The small print

Deadlock Vault is an unofficial fan site. It isn't made, endorsed or supported by Valve, and Valve has no idea how much time I spend on it. Deadlock, its artwork and related marks are trademarks and property of Valve Corporation.
