Open Settings, go to Game, then Camera Settings, and move the Camera FOV slider. It goes from 75 to 90 degrees, and 90 is the default. You can't set it higher than 90 in the settings.
Where the setting is
- Open Settings and go to the Game section.
- Find Camera Settings. Typing "fov" in the settings search also takes you there.
- Drag Camera FOV, or type a number into the box next to it.
A larger angle shows more of the world around your hero; a smaller one narrows the view. The game remembers it, so you only set it once.
Can you go past 90?
Not for your own camera. The Camera FOV slider stops at 90, which is also where it starts.
In the Advanced section, under Spectator & Replay Camera, there's a second "Field of view" slider that goes up to 150. That one is for the custom spectator camera only: it changes what you see while spectating or watching a replay, not the camera you play with. It's the likely reason for "you can set FOV to 150" claims.
Deadlock used to have a different FOV setting. The game now calls that the "legacy" setting and has replaced it with this slider, so older guides describing other options are out of date.
Quick answers
How do you change FOV in Deadlock?
Settings, then Game, then Camera Settings, then the Camera FOV slider. It goes from 75 to 90 degrees.
What is the default FOV in Deadlock?
90 degrees, which is also the highest you can set it.
Can you increase FOV past 90 in Deadlock?
Not in the settings. The 150 degree slider under Advanced, Spectator & Replay Camera only affects the spectator camera.
