Lifesteal counts as healing in Deadlock, so anti-heal cuts it just like any other heal. Bullet lifesteal heals you for a share of the damage your gun deals, and spirit lifesteal for a share of your spirit damage.
The two kinds of lifesteal
- Bullet lifesteal: you heal for a percentage of the damage you deal with your gun.
- Spirit lifesteal: you heal for a percentage of the spirit damage you deal.
| Item | Bullet lifesteal | Spirit lifesteal |
|---|---|---|
| Bullet Lifesteal | 13% | |
| Spirit Lifesteal | 13% | |
| Leech (builds from both) | 28% | 28% |
Melee has its own healing items: Melee Lifesteal makes your next melee heal you for 100 (every 8 seconds), and its upgrade Lifestrike heals more and slows the target too.
Rat King is the one hero whose lifesteal is weaker: it's 75% as effective as other heroes'.
What cuts lifesteal
Every anti-heal effect, because lifesteal is healing. Healbane, Toxic Bullets, Decay and the rest all reduce how much a lifesteal build heals. How they combine is in does anti-heal stack.
Healing items and lifesteal
- Healing Booster "increases the effectiveness of your healing": +20% outgoing healing and a little health regen. It builds into Healing Tempo.
- Healing Tempo gives fire rate and move speed to anyone you heal, but its tooltip is clear that it "does not apply on innate Regen or passive Bullet/Spirit Lifesteals". Lifesteal won't trigger it.
