4.8k means 4,800 souls spent on one category of items. It's the biggest step in the shop's spending bonus: your weapon damage bonus jumps from +18% to +46% there, and the vitality and spirit bonuses nearly double.

Where the number comes from

Every soul you spend on weapon, vitality or spirit items counts towards that category's bonus, shown as a bar in the shop. The bonus goes up in steps, and the shop writes the steps in thousands, so 4,800 shows as 4.8K. When players say "rush 4.8k" or "the 4.8k spike", they mean reaching that step in your main category.

The bonus at every step

Souls spent in categoryWeapon: weapon damageVitality: base healthSpirit: spirit power
800+9%+9%+7
1,600+12%+12%+11
2,400+15%+15%+15
3,200+18%+20%+19
4,800+46%+38%+38
6,400+54%+42%+45
8,000+62%+46%+52
11,200+74%+50%+59
16,000+86%+54%+66
22,400+100%+60%+75
28,800+115%+66%+100

Weapon spending raises your weapon damage, vitality spending your base health and spirit spending your spirit power. Each category has its own bar, so 4,800 souls spread across all three doesn't count.

Why players aim for it

Every other step adds a few points. The step at 4,800 adds far more: in weapon, it gives you more than the first four steps put together. That makes 4,800 in your main category a natural first goal before you spread out.

Count only what you spend in one category. Two 3,200 weapon items take you past 4,800 in weapon; one weapon and one spirit item don't.

For the rest of the shop (tiers, prices, active items), see how items work. Spirit spending feeds your spirit power.
