The map
Getting around the map
Ziplines are the fastest way around: 17.6 m/s or more, against about 7 m/s on foot. Teleporters cross the map underground, bounce pads speed you along, ropes get you onto rooftops, and shops let you spend without going home.

Shortcut map
One per lane
Ziplines
Each lane has one zipline, in the lane's colour, running between the two bases. You can ride only as far as your troopers have pushed. Your speed depends on where you are on the line.
| Lane | Length | Full ride | Fastest | Running it |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| YorkYellow | 775 m | 0:44 | 0:38 | 1:51 |
| BroadwayBlue | 604 m | 0:34 | 0:29 | 1:26 |
| GreenwichGreen | 785 m | 0:45 | 0:38 | 1:52 |
Full ride is one end to the other at 17.6 m/s and fastest at 20.6 m/s, with no boosts. Running it assumes 7 m/s and a straight line. To make the line faster, take a Movement bridge buff or destroy that lane's Base Guardians.
Everything else
Other ways around
Teleporters (4)
Underground, linked in pairs, and each takes you to the far side of the map. They take 4 seconds to use.
Bounce pads (17)
Air vents that launch you along the airflow. They are mostly a speed boost for crossing ground, and the lines on the map show where each one sends you.
Ropes (17)
Climb these to reach rooftops and upper floors.
Tunnels and vents (24 exits)
Tunnels run under the map. Rat King, Rem and some Calico abilities can use vents to enter them. Switch the map above to Vents to see the network.
Spend and heal
Shops and healing snacks
Curiosity Shops
Each team has one beside each of its three Guardians and one in its spawn room. They are for that team only, and a shop beside a Guardian closes when the Guardian falls. Two secret shops underground are open to both teams.
Healing snacks (36)
Each heals 14% of your max health over 4 seconds. They first appear at 3:00 and come back 3:00 after someone eats one. Switch them on in the map above to see them all.
Quick answers
Getting around questions
- How fast are ziplines in Deadlock?
- 17.6 to 20.6 m/s, depending on where you are on the line. That's more than twice as fast as most heroes run. The Movement bridge buff and destroying a pair of Base Guardians both make your zipline faster.
- How far can you ride a zipline?
- As far as your troopers have pushed. The further your side has pushed that lane, the further the line takes you.
- Where are the teleporters in Deadlock?
- There are 4, all underground, linked in pairs. Each one takes you across the map to the far side, and takes 4 seconds to use.
- Who can use the tunnel vents?
- Rat King, Rem and some Calico abilities can use vents to enter the tunnels under the map.
- How do you heal without going back to base?
- Healing snacks sit around the map. Each heals 14% of your max health over 4 seconds. They first appear at 3:00 and come back 3:00 after someone eats one.
- How many shops are there in Deadlock?
- Ten: one beside each of the six Guardians, usable only by that team, one in each spawn room, and two secret shops open to both teams. A shop beside a Guardian closes when that Guardian falls.
