The map
Deadlock objectives
You win by destroying the enemy Patron. To get there, push down a lane through its Guardian, Walker and a pair of Base Guardians, then take down both Shrines. Here is what each one has and pays.
In order
From lane to Patron
| Objective | How many | Health | Souls | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Guardian | 3 a team | 5,500 | 1,375 | To each living hero on your team |
| Walker | 3 a team | 6,000 to 12,000 | 3,675 | 25% to heroes nearby, the rest to the team |
| Base Guardian | 6 a team, in pairs | 4,000 | 1,000 | Each pair opens the Shrines and speeds up your zipline |
| Shrine | 2 a team | 5,000, then 10,000 | 2,000 | Turns that lane's troopers into Super Troopers |
| Patron | 1 a team | 12,000 + 12,000 | Win | Destroy it and the match is over |

Objective map
First in the lane
Guardians
Each team has one in each lane. A Guardian has 5,500 and deals 116 damage a second out to 34 m. It takes 10% less from bullets.
It takes no damage unless an enemy hero is within 24 m, so you can't kill one with troopers alone.
Killing one pays 1,375 to every living hero on your team. It also closes the Curiosity Shop beside it for the other team.
| Match time | Damage taken |
|---|---|
| 0:00 | 50% less |
| 3:00 | 25% less |
| 6:00 | Normal |
| 9:00 | 25% more |
| 12:00 | 50% more |
Second in the lane
Walkers
A Walker starts with 6,000. It goes up to 9,000 when another Walker on its team dies, and 12,000 when two have. It takes 35% less from bullets, and no damage unless an enemy hero is within 22 m. It reaches 24 m.
- Stomp: 350 damage plus 15% of your health within 14.5 m, with a 2 second stun. Every 6 seconds.
- Rockets: 6 rockets for 200 each, plus fire for 25 a second over 5 seconds. Every 10 seconds.
- Beam: 2% of your health a second.
Killing one pays 3,675. 25% (919) goes to heroes nearby and the rest is split across your team.
| Match time | Damage taken |
|---|---|
| 0:00 | 65% less |
| 3:00 | 43% less |
| 6:00 | 22% less |
| 9:00 | Normal |
| 12:00 | 22% more |
| 15:00 | 43% more |
| 18:00 | 65% more |
At the base
Base Guardians, Shrines and the Patron
Base Guardians
Three pairs a team, one pair per lane. Each has 4,000, deals 116 damage a second out to 28 m, and pays 1,000. Most abilities do half damage to them.
Destroying a pair gives your team a permanent zipline speed boost in that lane, and lets you hurt the Shrines.
Shrines
Two a team. 5,000, and the survivor goes up to 10,000 when the other dies. Each pays 2,000.
They take no damage until one pair of Base Guardians falls. A dead Shrine turns that lane's troopers into Super Troopers, with 60% more damage and 40% more health.
Patron
Two phases of 12,000, with 120 regen a second. It can only be hurt once both Shrines are down. From 20:00 its first phase gains 250 health a minute. Its second phase gains 450 a minute.
Once weakened it only takes damage while you're in its pit. One defender in the pit gives it 50% resist, and two or more give it 100%.
Walkers, Base Guardians and Shrines also have backdoor protection: 65% resist and 65 regen a second until your troopers reach them. How backdoor protection works.
The push
Troopers
Ranged
300, 28 damage a second.
Melee
400. Joins the waves at 5:00.
Medic
350
- A wave is 2 ranged, 1 melee and 1 medic. Before 5:00 it's 3 ranged and 1 medic.
- Waves come every 30 seconds, every 25 from 20:00, and every 20 from 35:00.
- A trooper pays 100, plus 2 a minute.
- They get 20% spirit resist at 25:00, 70% at 50:00, and 50% more health at 35:00.
Quick answers
Objective questions
- What order do you destroy objectives in Deadlock?
- In each lane: Guardian, then Walker, then a pair of Base Guardians. One pair falling lets you hurt the Shrines. Once both Shrines are down, you can hurt the Patron. Destroy it and you win.
- How much health does a Guardian have?
- 5,500. It takes 50% less damage at the start of the match, and that falls every minute, so by 12:00 it takes 50% more.
- How much health does a Walker have?
- 6,000 to start. It rises to 9,000 when one of the team's other Walkers dies, and 12,000 when two have.
- Why can't I damage the Guardian or Walker?
- They take no damage when no enemy hero is nearby: within 24 m for a Guardian and 22 m for a Walker. Later objectives also have backdoor protection until your troopers reach them.
- How many souls do objectives give?
- A Guardian pays 1,375 to each living hero on your team, a Walker 3,675, a Base Guardian 1,000 and a Shrine 2,000.
- What happens when a Shrine dies?
- That lane's troopers become Super Troopers: 60% more damage and 40% more health, but 15% fewer souls for whoever kills them. The other Shrine goes up to 10,000 health.
- How do you beat the Patron?
- It has two phases of 12,000 health each. Once weakened, it only takes damage while you're in its pit, and defenders in the pit protect it: 50% resist with one and 100% with two or more.
