Deadlock mid boss
The mid boss waits in the pit under Times Square from the start of the match. Kill it and your team gets 1,500 souls or more, and 3 Rejuvenator crystals fall into the pit. Each one is a free revive for your team, if you break it first.

The real prize
How Rejuvenator works
- When the mid boss dies, 3 crystals fall around the pit. They take 7.5 seconds to come down, and land in different spots.
- Break a crystal with one heavy melee. Anyone can do it, including the enemy team.
- Whoever breaks it gets a full heal and 500 +9 a minute. Their team gets one credit, up to 3.
- Credits last 3:00, or until they're all used. You get a warning when 30 seconds are left. Breaking another crystal later doesn't add time.
- When someone with a credit dies, they stand back up on the spot 3 seconds later with 100% health. Each player can use only one credit.
Quick answers
Mid boss questions
- How much health does the mid boss have?
- 15,600 at the start, plus 234 for every minute of the match. At 20:00 that's 20,280. It also regenerates 15 health a second.
- When does the mid boss spawn?
- It's there from the start of the match, and has been since May 2026. After it dies it comes back in 7:00, then 6:00, then 5:00 every time after that.
- What does the Rejuvenator do in Deadlock?
- It lets a player revive where they died after 3 seconds with 100% health. Each crystal your team breaks gives one credit. Credits last 3:00, and each player can use only one.
- Can you steal the Rejuvenator?
- Yes. Any player can break a crystal with a heavy melee, and the credit goes to that player's team. Killing the mid boss doesn't guarantee you the crystals.
- How many souls does the mid boss give?
- 1,500 souls, plus 25 a minute to the team that kills it. Each Rejuvenator crystal also pays 500 souls, plus 9 a minute to whoever breaks it. These numbers changed on 30 October 2026, when the team reward was halved.
- Do you get souls for killing a player with a Rejuvenator credit?
- No. Killing someone who is about to revive shows no kill and pays no souls, though it still sets off "on hero kill" effects.
